According to the information, it is not yet decided how India will participate in it. Asteroids are also called time capsules. According to scientists, these are the remains of the early world. This can help in understanding how our world was formed.
Now the question is whether the meteorite will collide with the earth. According to the information, this meteorite will come closest to the earth on 13 April 2029. Then its distance will be around 48280 km. Its size is 305 meters wide, which will be visible to the naked eye when it is close to the earth.
According to scientists, the possibility of it colliding with the Earth is negligible at the moment. But this happens sometimes, when an asteroid comes so close to the Earth. Scientists around the world do not want to miss this opportunity. They will study the solar system through asteroids and the way to protect the Earth from meteorites.
Regarding the plan related to the mission, the ISRO chief said that an instrument can be installed on the joint Asteroid Apophis Mission of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, European Space Agency, and NASA. Let us tell you that earlier NASA had changed the direction of an asteroid through the DART mission in 2022.
